Philip Uri Treisman is an American mathematician and mathematics educator. He is the Director of the Charles A. Dana Center,〔http://www.utdanacenter.org/staff/uri-treisman.php〕 and is a Professor of Mathematics at The University of Texas at Austin.〔http://www.utexas.edu/opa/experts/profile.php?id=397〕 He is credited with pioneering the Emerging Scholars Program (ESP), aimed at helping students from underprivileged backgrounds excel in calculus and other courses in science.
